It is a known fact that Kia Motors, a South Korean automobile manufacturer is all set to hit the Indian roads soon. Now, the company has revealed the first sketch of its upcoming mid-size SUV which has been codenamed as SP2i. Kia is known for its inspirational design structure and the images of the new SUV too clearly highlight the same. The new vehicle is based on the 2018 Kia SP concept unveiled at the Auto Expo and features the space and capabilities of a traditional SUV in a compact package.
Kias very first product for India boasts a bold, distinctive and dynamic design with a wide Tiger nose grille. This is one of the unique design elements of the company's world-class design philosophy. With a modern and urban design, the SUV will stand apart from its rivals by matching the unique preferences and needs of customers who are young at heart. The robust design character of a traditional SUV co-exists with sophisticated exterior design details with its long hood, a strong and sophisticated character line on the front bumper, and sharp lines pressed into the bodywork.
The presence of LED headlamps and tail lamps with a three-dimensional light graphic and a highly technical diamond pattern at their trailing edges offer a luxurious and sporty look for the car. The strong shoulder line, matched with a glasshouse which tapers towards the rear of the car, as well as rear bumper with a metallic muffler effect lends the compact SUV an air of understated sportiness.
Byung Chul Juh, Head of Kia Styling at Kia Motors Corporation, commented: We have created a car which stands out everywhere, from the city to the countryside. Its robust yet sporty design will be matched by a wide range of features and technologies that are universally suited to younger buyers in markets around the world. Our new mid-SUV is a proposition that no other car in its class will match.
Kia Motors is likely to manufacture the SUV in India for the whole world and so the mid-SUV resonates the design language that is customized for the Indian customers.
