Khushboo brings laurels to Mangaldai

MANGALDAI, May 25 - Khushboo Firdous of Brilliant Academy Junior College here brought glory to Darrang district by securing the first position in arts stream in the HS final examinations the results of which were announced today.

Altogether five students from the district made it to the list of rank holders in the State � four in arts stream and one in science stream.

Khushboo Firdous scored 478 marks out of 500 with letter marks in English (93), Alternative English (98), Anthropology (96), Logic & Philosophy (98) and Geography (93). Daughter of Abdul Qadir and Sabina Yasmin of Ward No. 2 here, Khushboo attributed her achievement to untiring support provided by the teachers of Brilliant Academy and her parents. Khushboo did not take any help from home tutor and was guided by her father all along. �I consider my abba as my role model. He used to guide and take care of my academic career since my childhood,� she said.

�I want to be a good citizen of India first and then take up teaching as my future profession,� she concluded.
