SIVASAGAR, Jan 8 - Sivasagar DC Dr MS Laxmipriya, in presence of Arjuna awardee Bhogeswar Barua inaugurated Khelo Sivasagar Khelo mission in order to create a platform to tap young sporting talents of the locality.
In the opening function of the event held at Betbari near here today, Aditya Thapa and Wazid Ahmed led the sports torch rally.
Altogether 27 disciplines have been included in the project which will be organised at school, educational institutes and district level for the boys and girls in the age group of U-14, U-17 and U-19 years.
The DC and Bhogeswar Barua also inaugurated the theme song and logo �Kuku� on the occasion.
Barua has been appointed as brand ambassador of the event.
