Khandu meets Guv, discusses devp issues

ITANAGAR, June 8 - Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on State Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) at the Raj Bhavan here today. They discussed developmental initiatives of the new �Team Arunachal� of the State Government and important security issues of the State, a DIPR press release stated.

The Chief Minister said that he is determined to pursue the guiding principle of �Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas� in both letter and spirit to make Arunachal Pradesh the happiest and the most prosperous State of India.

He emphasised that special focus would be given on health, education, potable water, electricity, communication, road, rail, air and Internet connectivity and infrastructure to ensure that every citizen of Arunachal Pradesh is able to develop his or her potential to the fullest and is provided with ample opportunities for sustainable living.

The Governor stressed on concrete action to instil a sense of security among the people of the State, particularly in Tirap, Changlang and Longding districts.

He suggested special attention to the development projects and employment for the youths of these three districts to wean them away from anti-national activities.

The Chief Minister informed about the proposals and new initiatives of the State Government, which were discussed in the first Cabinet meeting. He also highlighted the action taken for improving road communication, Net connectivity, education and health, the release added.
