GUWAHATI, Oct 26 - The last rites of the former DGP Khagen Sarma were performed today at the Nabagraha cremation ground with full State honours.
Earlier, Sarma�s mortal remains were taken to the Special Branch headquarters and the Assam Police headquarters where tributes were paid to him by top police officials and a number of former DGPs. Director General of Assam Police Kula Saikia also paid his last respects to him. His mortal remains were also taken to the house of one of his relatives in Ulubari before being taken to Nabagraha.
Sarma, who passed away on Friday, leaves behind his mother, wife and a son.
