KAZIRANGA, Mar 30 (PTI): A group of forest guards were attacked by suspected KLNLF militants in Kaziranga National Park and their rifle and communication devices snatched away.
The ultras from neighbouring Karbi Anglong district swooped down on the guards at Panbari camp of KNP's Kohora Range around 11 pm last night, official sources said today.
The militants assaulted three forest guards inflicting minor injuries on them and forcibly took away their 303 rifle, six rounds of ammunition, a wireless set, a mobile phone and a torch light, the sources said.
A massive search operation has been launched to nab the culprits, they added.
