TINSUKIA, Oct 25 - Karnataka amassed 334 for 5 in their first innings on the second day of the four-day Group B U-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy match.
At the Katchujan Field here today, in reply to Assam�s first innings total of 192, the visiting team resuming their first innings at an overnight total of 65 for one went on hammering the Assam bowlers at their will.
Overnight unbeaten opener, Nichal D scored an unbeaten 164 runs with 20 boundaries. The other major contributor for Karnataka was Samarth Ooty who scored 80.
For Assam, Mrinmoy Dutta claimed three wickets giving away 125 runs while Arpan Dutta and Nipan Deka took one wicket each by giving away 90 and 56 runs respectively. Naveen MG is the other batsman at the crease with 5 runs.
