NEW DELHI, Jan. 10 � Allaying apprehension over further flare up of tension in Karbi Anglong district, Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today said the situation is under control.
Replying to questions while presenting his monthly status report today, Shinde declined to term the law-and-order situation as good. Though it would not be proper to say the law-and-order situation is good in Karbi Anglong but the situation is under control, he said.
Meanwhile, an amount of Rs 12.06 crore and Rs 4.05 crore has been released to Nagaland and Mizoram under Border Area Development Fund.
Moreover, another sum of Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned for construction of three model police stations in Mizoram and Manipur, besides another State.
