TEZPUR, June 14 � A 12-member karate team of Tensin Kan Soto Kan Karate Do-Assam affiliated to UKA will take part in the Miwa Cup National Tensinkan Karate competition to be held in Nainital from June 22. The State team was announced recently.
In the girls singles section, Rithi Boro and Chinthia Sarma Barua have been selected while in the boys category, Jyoti Raj Guru, Mun Dewri, Deepjyoti Dewri, Noina Meri Barua, Deep Singh, Simanku Phukan, Gobin Basumatary, Sunmoni Dwora and Champok Gogoi have been selected. Chief instructor of the Assam team, Sensai Sanjai Kumar Shaw, black belt 3rd dan, has been given overall charge of the team. The team will leave for Nainital on June 20 from Guwahati.
