GUWAHATI, June 2 - The 6th edition of the UKAA Upper Assam Zone Inter District Karate Championship will be held at Rainforest Research Institute Indoor Stadium, Sotai, Jorhat from tomorrow.
A total number of 323 players from seven different districts � Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Charaideo, Titabar and host Jorhat will take part in the championship.
Players of the Upper Assam Zone for the UKAA State Karate Championship will be selected from this meet which will be hosted by the Karate Association of Jorhat. Competitions will be conducted in Sub-junior (7-13 years), Cadet (14-15 years), Junior (16-17 years), 18 years and Senior categories for both male and female. UKAA also convened an extended executive committee meeting at the competition venue tomorrow at 7 pm, stated an UKAA release.
