GUWAHATI, Sept 27 � Players of Silpukhuri and Mathgharia Karate Do Academy shined in the All Guwahati Karate Do Championship, organised by the Shutokan Karate Do Academy, Bonda-Narengi at the Bhogeswari Phukanani Indoor Stadium here on September 22.

The medal winning karatekas are � Zia Sarma (girls 6-8 years kata and kumite), Bhim Kr Limbu (boys 6-8 years kata), Rohit Baruah (boys 32kg kumite), Mahendra Sarma (boys 50kg), Nabajyoti Barman (boys 52kg) all won gold medals. Tinash Haloi (girls U-9 yrs kumite) won solver. Harshita Hazarika (girls U-8 yrs kumite), Nihal Barman, Mubarak Ali (boys 28kg kumite), Ritul Shyamal (boys U-8 yrs kata), Sadananda Limbu (boys U-8 yrs kumite), Priya Das (girls U-13 kumite and kata), Kaushik Gogoi (boys U-15 yrs kumite), Amitabh Medhi (boys U-13 yrs kumite), Bipul Talukdar (53kg kumite), Nayanmoni Deka (boys 60kg kumite) won bronze medals.

Kamakhya boys win medals: In the same championship, three boys of Kamakhya KarateDo Academy � Sachi Mohan Ray, Jitul Bhargav and Manoj Das � won silver medals.

Jitul and Sachi won silvers in the U-17 years group while Manoj won the medal in the senior category.
