Karate Association of India set up new panel

GUWAHATI, Oct 23 - The Karate Association of India set up its new body in the Special General meeting and General Council Election held here today. The new committee is selected for the 2021-2024 session.

Representatives from 34 states took part in the day-long meeting. The meeting was held under the observation of BP Borkotoky, retired Justice of Gauhati High Court where a 15-member committee was formed.

Likah Tare of Arunachal Pradesh became the president of the new committee while Rajnish Choudhury of Haryana has been elected as general secretary. Rajesh Agarwal of Gujrat was named treasurer. Assam�s Adarsha Choudhury was appointed as the chairman of the Athlete Commission while Ramen Pal Das named national coach.
