Kamrup (Metro) sees highest single day spike of COVID-19 cases with 73 new patients

GUWAHATI, JUNE 21: Kamrup (Metro) on Sunday recorded the highest single day spike of COVID-19 positive cases with 73 new patients found infected with the virus in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, 133 new cases of COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the State today, taking the overall tally of infected patients in the State to 5,388, of which 3,202 have so far recovered.

Besides Kamrup (Metro), 31 new infections were reported in Nagaon, 18 from Jorhat, five from Udalguri, two from Majuli and one each from Dhemaji and Tinsukia.

The number of active cases stands at 2,174.
