Kamrup DTO achieves 92.27% target in revenue collection

BAIHATA CHARIALI, April 10 - The office of the District Transport Officer (DTO) Kamrup has been able to touch 92.27 per cent of revenue collection according to the target given to them by the Finance Department. The total amount of revenue collected this year by the office (from April 2018 to March 31, 2019 ) was Rs 31,62,39,838.

It is to be mentioned here that on the last day of this financial year, the office has been able to collect a total of Rs 49,06,902 which has broken all past records of the office regarding revenue collected. On that day the staff of the office under the leadership of Gautam Das, DTO had carried out a drive to collect revenue in the district. Gautam Das joined this office in the third week of February 2019 and after his joining the office had collected Rs 4,52,40,310 in one month.

The DTO said that the office has been able to achieve 92.27 per cent of revenue collection against the target fixed by the Finance department due to the strong team spirit of his officers and staff and he thanked all of them in this regard.
