GUWAHATI, April 30 - The 16th Sub Junior, Junior and 23rd Senior Kamrup (M) District Wushu Championship came to an end at the Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium in the RG Baruah Sports Complex here on April 28.
Altogether 150 players and 15 officials of the district took part in the two-day championship which was organised by the Kamrup (M) District Wushu Association (KDWA).
Maligaon Wushu Training Centre clinched the top position in the championship winning 19 gold, six silver and eight bronze medals. Chatribari Martial Arts Club (14 gold, eight silver and four bronze) and Bonda Wushu Martial Art Training Centre (four gold, five silver and three bronze) stood second and third respectively, informed Gopi Singh Lama, secretary KDWA in a release.
