GUWAHATI, Oct 20 � The Kamal Kumari Foundation has announced the National Awards for the Outstanding Achievers for the year 2009 in the fields of Art and Culture, Science and Technology and Journalism. This was stated in press release.
The presentation ceremony will be held on November 10 at Pragjyoti-ITA Centre for Performing Arts, Guwahati.
Parween Sultana Khan will receive the Kamal Kumari National Award for her cintributions to the field of art and culture while in the science and technology category, Prof Roddam Narasimha will receive the award.
Radhika Mohan Bhagawati, veteran journalist and editor, Dainik Asam, has been chosen for the Siva Prasad Barooah National Award for journalism. The awards carry Rs 2 lakh each, a citation and a trophy.
