GUWAHATI, Oct 28 - One of the most auspicious festivals Kali Puja is going to be observed throughout the State tomorrow with all the traditional rituals to seek the blessings of the Goddess for protection against all evil and for health, wealth and peace.
The temples dedicated to this Goddess in various nook and corner of the State have been decked up for the occasion. The various Kali Puja pandals have been decorated with relevant themes to attract the devotees. Like with any other festive occasion, Kali Puja is also an opportunity for pandal hopping and devotees will visit the temples and pandals during the night to offer their prayers to the Goddess who symbolizes strength and positivity.
The capital city had a festive ambience on Friday with people thronging the markets to make the necessary purchases for celebrating the Puja. Many Durga Puja celebration committees are also celebrating Kali Puja and the arrangements for invoking the blessings of the Goddess are ready.
As Diwali is also coinciding with the Puja and people equally participate in the celebration of the festival of light, most of the residences and commercial establishments were seen illuminated with colourful lights. The festive spirit that had taken the city in grip since Durga Puja is all set to culminate with celebration of the twin occasions of Kali Puja and Diwali.
