Kakopothar student brings glory to state

DOOMDOOMA, May 3 - Bibhash Gogoi, a student of Radhakrishnan Academy of Kakopothar has been selected to participate in the prestigious Young Scientists Programme-2019 (YUVIKA).

This national-level programme is a people-friendly step, including the young talent of schools introduced by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the first time.

The programme is scheduled from May 13 to 27 and will be conducted in four ISRO centres across the country, where three students from each state and Union Territory of India will participate.

This initiative of ISRO is primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge in space technology, space science and space application to children in order to kindle their interest in the emerging areas of space activities.

Bibhash Gogoi successfully represented Assam in the 26th National Children Science Congress (NCSC)-2018 held at SOA University of Bhubaneswar in Odisha.

Bibhash, a student of Class-IX of Radhakrishnan Academy of Kakopothar has made not only Kakopothar, but also entire Tinsukia district proud with his achievement. He is the son of Bipul Gogoi and Pushpa Gogoi of Shantipur, Kakopothar.

Two other students selected for this programme from Assam are Ajit Sah of Dekari HS School and Kashyap Gogoi of Baulimaidam High School.
