GUWAHATI, April 6 � Ruing government and administrative apathy, residents of greater Kailashpur (Nizarapar) area under the aegis of Kailashpur Gaon Unnayan Samity have initiated a series of public work such as construction of guard wall along the hilly terrain, repair of damaged culverts and cleaning and restoration of natural water channels.
The Unnayan Samity said that several hundred families living in and around Kailashpur were not getting the basic city amenities despite their repeated representations made to the authorities concerned.
�We also renew our appeal to the Government and the administration to hasten the development process in the backward area,� the Unnayan Samity said.
