DIBRUGARH, Nov 28 � The Sadou Asom Kaibortta Yuba Chatra Sanmilan has pressed for granting autonomy to the Kaibortta community in the State.
The youth body of the Kaibortta community during its foundation day celebration at the Lakshminath Bezbaroa Bhawan here yesterday demanded that the State Government must grant autonomy to the community before the next Assembly polls. They also demanded reservation of at least ten Assembly seats for the Kaibortta community.
The foundation day was marked by hoisting of the organisation�s flag, smriti tarpan and an open session.
