Kahilipara residents battle it out against coronavirus

GUWAHATI, Aug 2 - The residents of Adarshapur bylane-4 of Kahilipara have been taking several measures in their locality to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adarshapur Bylane-4 Unnayan Samiti general secretary Dhrubajyoti Sarma said that till date no COVID-19 case has been reported in the locality. There are altogether 25 families residing in the area.

�Our aim is to ensure safety and help the district administration in its fight against the coronavirus. We are maintaining all the government guidelines, including wearing of masks, social distancing and frequent hand washing. We are also keeping a strict vigil on the people who had visited the area from the beginning of the nationwide lockdown since March. Senior citizens and children remain indoors,� Sarma said.

�We are following a register where we maintain all the necessary details, including contact numbers of any unknown person. Moreover, we have been taking videos of the vegetable sellers or any other people who come to our area in a way that it can be helpful for future reference,� he added.
