GUWAHATI, Jan 23 - Socio-cultural organisation Jyotirupa is organising the 39th one-act play competition from January 28 to 31 at the District Library here.

The plays to be staged on January 28 are: Om Shanti Om (Natyasarcha, Nalbari), Andhakarer Dhou (Bangamukh Natyagusthi, Pandu College Gate), Aair Alankar (Krishtipathar, Guwahati), Putola (Nattirtha, Karbi Anglong), Kalijugor Shrawan Kumar (Gandharba, Maligaon), Parinam (Samanyay Natyagusthi, Chayygaon), Palashat Pora Manuh (Dalanghat Agragami Natyakala Sangha, Darrang).

The plays to be staged on January 29 are: Hengam (Hemen Gautam, Guwahati), Awaddha Akash (Jyotisilpa, Nagaon), Napua Korileu Paat (Dinabandhu Natyagusthi, Nalbari), Abul Tabul Aru Kiba Kibi (Bahniman Natyagusthi), Mon-Bibek Aru Moi (Nattirtha, Guwahati), Octopus (Theatre Goers Forum, Dhemaji), Namami Brahmaputra (Rangchora, Barpeta), Chur (Sagar Neel).

The plays to be staged on January 30 are: Pinjara (Nirmal Haloi College, Patacharkuchi), Upalabdhi (Pahi Creation, Nalbari), Radha, Jolai Diu De (Natyasarcha, Nalbari), Muktipan, (Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati), Kotha Kunhipath (Dekhoho Sunoho, Bokakhat) and Natakar Jiban Jibanor Nat Natakar (Eagle, Guwahati).

The prize distribution ceremony and a cultural programme will be held from 6 pm on January 31, Jyotirupa general secretary Naren Hazarika said in a release.
