GUWAHATI, Nov 7 � The 34th Jyotirupa North-east One-act Play Competition, organised under the aegis of socio-cultural organisation Jyotirupa, will be held at the Rabindra Bhawan here from January 28 to 31 next year, a press release stated. The Kishore Thakuria Memorial Mono Acting Competition will be held simultaneously at the same venue.
Drama troupes interested in joining the one-act play contest may submit their applications and manuscripts of their plays to Sikha Bhattacharya or Asim Kumar Deka at the office of The Assam Tribune along with an entry fee of Rs 300 on or before December 31.
On the other hand, the fifth annual edition of the Singha Purush Radha Govinda Baruah Memorial Invitational Full-length Drama Festival will be held in the evening at Rabindra Bhawan here from February 24 to 28, 2013, the organisers of Jyotirupa said. The cooperation and participation of the public have been sought for both the events, the press release added.
