GUWAHATI, June 12 - Third seed Justina Borgohain of Assam will lock horns with her State-mate 2nd seed Tanishqa Patar in the final of the girls singles U-16 years age group in the ongoing AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament at the AATA Complex in Chachal here.
In the semifinals played today, Justina defeated top seed Oindrila Sen of West Bengal in three gruelling sets 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to reach the final which was a major upset of the championship. In the other semifinal, second seed Tanishqa easily outclassed Kaatyayini Vashisth of Assam in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. In the boys singles semifinals top seed Shahir Farhaz (Assam) will play with Arounesh Bora while Pritam Barua will fight with second seed Tushar Paul (both Assam).
