AGARTALA, March 2 - Justice Ajay Rastogi, a senior Judge of Rajasthan High Court, sworn in as Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura at a simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.
Justice Rastogi was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Tathagata Roy.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha, DWS Minister Ratan Bhowmik and UD Minister Manik Dey were present in the swearing ceremony. Senior State Government officials also attended the ceremony.
Earlier, T Vaiphei who was the Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura was accorded a warm farewell by members of High Court Bar Association. Justice Vaiphei had taken over as Chief Justice here on September 21, 2016.
