GUWAHATI, March 14 - Justice (retd) Chittaranjan Sharma was sworn in as the State�s Upalokayukta today at a brief ceremony held at the Raj Bhawan. Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath of office to Justice Sharma, a former judge of the Gauhati High Court.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Justice Ajit Barua, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, DGP Mukesh Sahay, Principal Secretary (Home) Hemanta Narzary, Commissioner and Secretary (Home and Political) LS Changsan, Police Commissioner Hiren Nath, Deputy Commissioner Kamrup Metro Dr M Angamuthu and officials of the Governor�s secretariat, district administration of Kamrup Metro and a host of other dignitaries.
