KOKRAJHAR, April 5 � The battle for ballot for the 12 BTC constituencies under Kokrajhar Sadar Subdivision, where election is scheduled to be held on April 8 is picking up.
Addressing an election rally at Nasaraibil playground under Saraibil constituency in Gossaigaon civil subdivision Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram assured the voters of this constituency as well as the people of BTAD for foolproof security and all round development of this area.
He also appealed the people to vote for the BJP to ensure safety and security of the life and property of the people living in this region.
The Union Minister was campaign in favour of BJP candidate Sibnath Brahma. A large number of BJP leaders and activists from different parts of the Gossaigaon were present in the rally.
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also attended an election meeting today at Patgaon under Banargaon constituency in favour of BJP candidate Manoj Kumar Brahma.
PCDR candidate Jiran Basumatary contesting from Jomduar constituency under Gossaigaon civil subdivision has also held a series of election meetings today in Jamduar constituency.
Meanwhile, all the political parties and candidates have set up their election publicity offices and have put up colourful banners, posters and hoardings in every nook and corner.
Kokrajhar on Sunday was abuzz with slogans shouted by hundreds of supporters and members of ABSU and its allied organisations like BPPF, NDFB (P), UDPF and PJACBM, who took out a bike rally to campaign for their candidates contesting on PCDR tickets.
