Joykumar back as Manipur DGP

IMPHAL, June 23 � Former Manipur Director General of Police Yumnam Joykumar Singh who was removed from his post days before January 28 Assembly polls in the State has been re-instated following directives of Election Commission of India (ECI). He replaced the present DGP Ratnakar Baral yesterday.

Baral has now been assigned as OSD in the Home department, according to a government order. Former OSD MK Das has been given the post of Additional DGP (Home Guard/Prison) in his present grade pay while Additional DGP PM Goud will take charge of Additional DGP (AP/Training). IGP LK Haokip has been given charge as IGP (AP/Training/Prov) and Managing Director/Manipur Police Housing Corporation.
