TEZPUR, March 20 - The journalist community at Tezpur have decided to not to cover any election related report registering a strong protest against the alleged misbehaviour with some mediapersons by an election officer.
Taking the decision at a meeting here on Sunday, the members said that the incident occurred when the mediapersons attended a meeting held among the election officers, officials from the police department and the general observers at the District Library on Sunday.
The CEO, Zila Parishad-cum-PD, DRDA, Sonitpur Munin Sarma, allegedly forced some of the scribes to leave the meeting creating an awkward situation for them.
