GUWAHATI, Jan 24 - The Government of Assam will confer the Republic Day Journalism Award, 2018 to senior journalist, former president of Asam Sahitya Sabha, and chief editor of Dainik Agradoot Kanaksen Deka honouring his lifelong contribution in the field of journalism.
Deka, the second recipient of the award, will be honoured at the Republic Day function on January 26 at the Veterinary College Playground here.
The award carries an amount of Rs 1 lakh, a citation, a memento, a sorai and an angabastra.
