JORHAT, Aug 10 - Along with the rest of the State, the 67 NSKs in Jorhat district started functioning today as per directive from the NRC State Coordinator.
Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Narayan Konwar told The Assam Tribune that people whose names were not found in the NRC draft published on July 30, have started visiting their respective NSKs from today to know about the cause of not being included in the final draft.
Konwar said that such people will be able to submit their claims to the NSKs by rectifying the errors later on.
He said that the process has started smoothly today with the administration and police keeping a close watch on the NSKs.
