JORHAT, Sept 11 - Jorhat Deputy Commissioner Virendra Mittal has vide an order passed today directed all traders to accept Rs 10 denomination coins issued by the RBI as the same was valid legal tender.
Stating that legal action will be initiated against anyone found refusing to accept Rs 10 denomination coin, the DC said that the district administration has of late come to know that some shop-keepers were refusing to accept Rs 10 coin citing the same becoming invalid, which is totally baseless.
