GUWAHATI, June 5 - Host Jorhat won the best team title by wining a total of 79 medals, including 26 gold, 20 silver and 33 bronze in the 6th UKAA Upper Assam Zone Inter District Karate Championship which concluded yesterday at the Rain Forest Research Institute Indoor hall, Sotai, Jorhat.

Dibrugarh District came second with a total 86 medals, including 23 gold, 20 silver and 43 bronze. The championship was inaugurated by MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa.

The gold medal winners are:

Sub jr boys (7-13 years): Antariksh Gogoi, Evon Gogoi, Angshuman Saikia, Proyanshu Dutta, Bitupan Das, Abhinash Gogoi, Mrinmoy Dewgharia, Tanmoy Sonowal, Robi Biswakarma, Priyangkush Baruah, Bishal Dutta, Hansraaj Dutta, Abhigyan Sonowal, Akashdeep Gogoi, Nihar Hazarika, Biswajit Munda, Arshad Ahmed, Ayushman Pachani, Akashjyoti Dutta, Rahul Dutta, Hari Pradhan. Girls: Dona Borgohain, Plabita Kachari, Maya Das, Dikshita Gogoi, Shyamontika Bora, Mugdha Baruah, Merina Basumatary, Burby Baruah, Angkita Chasha, Kakurani Kalita, Pahi Gogoi, Bandana Das, Pratiksha Gogoi, Haripriya Dihingia, Akangkhya Dewgharia, Kimpi Borgohain.

Cadet male and female (14-15 years): Naruttam Guwala, Prtyush Alok Baruah, Priyangku Gogoi, Dhritiman Saikia, Rahul Das, Anurag Saikia, Shainee Sonowal, Pubali Urang, Sabitri Biswakarma, Amrita Mudi.

Junior, male and female (16-17 years): Nabajyoti Gogoi, Jongomdeep Phukan, Nishanta Chamuah, Kunjadeep Chamuah, Trivedi Dutta, Ruma Changmai,

Senior, male and female (18 years and above): Ananta Changmai, Sashanka Suklaboidya, Bhupen Das, Sankar Payeng, Pranita Changmai, Gargee Kalita, Mainu Saikia, Deepika Rajuwar.
