GUWAHATI, Oct 13 - The birth centenary of Jadav Narayan Das will be celebrated at the Lakhiram Barua Sadan here on November 25, a press release stated.
A souvenir will be published for which articles on the Late JN Das have been invited and are to be sent to SB Medhi at the committee�s office at Kharghuli here as soon as possible. The celebrations will also be held at Dhubri.
Late Jadav Narayan Das was a famous educationist. He was a former Principal of BN College, Dhubri, founder Professor of the Assamese Department, B Barooah College, Guwahati, president of the Dhubri district committee of AGP, a noted drama actor and one who constantly fought for protection of the Assamese language in old Goalpara district.
