DIBRUGARH, Sept 30 - Petroleum technologist Jayanta Kumar Borgohain, Executive Director (Production), Oil India Limited (OIL) has taken over as Resident Chief Executive of OIL at its field headquarters in Duliajan.
Born on December 30, 1956, Borgohain had joined OIL as a Geologist in the Geological Department on October 23, 1981. An MSc in Applied Geology and M Tech in Mineral Exploration, he worked for the Geological Survey of India from March 1980 to October 1981.
He served as Head of Geoscience in OIL�s Rajasthan Project since July 2010 where he was subsequently promoted to General Manager (Geoscience) in January, 2013 and as Executive Director (Rajasthan Project) in January 2014. He was transferred to Duliajan in January this year as Executive Director (Production).
