GUWAHATI, Nov 3 � The All Assam Students� Union (AASU) has called upon Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and the State government not to trivialize the issue of threat posed by the Al Qaeda and jihadi elements to the State.

In a press statement, the AASU said just after giving a clean chit to AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal over his alleged links to jihadi elements, the Chief Minister has now started talking about the threat posed by Islamist radicals to the State.
