DERGAON, May 6 � Jharkhand entered the last-four stage of the 20th Senior Women�s National Football Championship.
In a group A league match played at Golaghat today, Jharkhand trounced host Assam 2-0. Pusap Kumari Topo and Dular Mandi scored in each half to eliminate Assam from the championship. Now, Jharkhand will take on group B winners Odisha in the semifinal on May 11 at Golaghat.
In the second match of the day, Pondicherry outplayed Arunachal Pradesh 9-0.
Tamil Nadu handed a 5-0 drubbing to Uttarakhand in another match of the day. Tomorrow, in a crucial match, Indian Railways will take on Manipur, which is eying the top spot of the group and the leader will play against group C champions Delhi.
