Since 2014, we have been honouring those individuals who have contributed in various fields with our Assam Jatiya Bidyalay Sanman, and for this year our unanimous choice was Abdul Majid. With his acting and directional skills, he has brought laurels to the State, said Dr Sarma, adding that apart from his professional success, Majid has established himself as a responsible citizen with a humanitarian approach towards life.

As an artist and a human being, he is very sensitive. His works have greatly enriched the field of modern art, said Dr Sarma.
