GUWAHATI, Nov 21 - Kota Onodo, a Japanese student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, committed suicide at the Lohit Hostel of the institute on Thursday.
According to an official of the IIT, the deceased came to the IIT to pursue a three-month course in the Bio-science and Bio-engineering department under an India-Japan exchange programme. The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained. The body has been sent for autopsy and a case has been registered.
