GUWAHATI, Aug 24 - Krishna Janmastami, the annual celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna, will be celebrated across the State along with the rest of the country tomorrow.
The festival is celebrated on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the month of Shravana (August-September) in the Hindu calendar. Dramatic enactments of the life of Krishna, mark the celebrations. The city has geared up for the celebrations, with Hindu shrines decorating their campuses for the purpose.
