GUWAHATI, Sept 9 - Srikrishna Janmastami was celebrated in Assam in a solemn way with naam prasanga held in naamghars across the State.
In view of the COVID-related restrictions, the Janmastami celebration programmes were organized with limited presence of people, following the norms of social distancing.
Instead of the usual midnight celebrations, the devotional programmes were concluded in the late evening hours at many places.
In Guwahati, devotional programmes were organised in naamghars across the city. Devotional programmes were held in the residential premises of the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society here.
