By Correspondent

NALBARI, March 5 - The Sanmilita Janagosthiya Eikoyamancha has decided to field its candidates in 21 seats including in the BTAD and the non-BTAD areas in the Assembly elections.

The decision was taken in this regard at a meeting of the Eikoyamancha held at Nalbari circuit house on Friday. The list of the candidates for the polls will be declared on March 10.

Addressing the mediapersons, leader of the Sanmilita Janagosthiya Eikoyamancha Naba Kumar Sarania, who is the MP from the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat, said that more than 40 ticket aspirants applied from each constituency and the Eikoyamancha has been scrutinised the candidates.

He added that the people in the BTAD area have been frustrated by the missrule of Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF and they sought a political change. Sarania alleged that the entire BTAD is over flooded with illegal arms.

The violence in the BTAD area remains alarmingly high and the free and fair poll becomes a distant dream in the region, he said, urging the people to support Eikoyamancha candidates in the ensuing polls for peace and prosperity in BTAD area.
