Jamwal takes note of party activities in Tripura

AGARTALA, June 24 - With Lok Sabha election in mind, BJP Mahamantri (general secretary) in-charge of North East Jamwal on Sunday held meetings with the members of party�s State core committee, office bearers and district and mandal presidents in the party headquarters here to review the organisational activities of the State.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, who is the party State president remained present in both the meetings, according to sources. Jamwal, who was on a two-day visit to the State, joined a Mann Ki Baat programme at Banamalipur, CM�s home constituency on Sunday morning. During the meeting, he interacted with eminent persons to know their views/suggestions.

Jamwal�s visit to the State is a �routine� one to review the organisational activities and he told the party leaders and workers to remain in touch with the people to ensure close relation with the mass, said party�s State general secretary Pratima Bhowmik.

�In the meeting, Jamwal exhorted the party leaders and workers to work hard for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections�, she said.

Bhaumik said as part of the organisational activities former Union Minister Shahnawaj Hussain is scheduled to visit the State on Monday to apprise the people about the progressive steps taken by BJP Government in the Centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She said the BJP State Committee has proposed party�s national president Amit Shah to visit Tripura on June 29 but was yet to get confirmation. Shah was scheduled to visit the State on June 18, but had to postpone due to unprecedented flood in the State. Shah is expected to release a report card about the activities of BJP-led government in the State in its first 100 days.
