GUWAHATI, Sept 14 � Jalukbari Girls High School and Amsing High School emerged champions in the girls� and boys� sections respectively in the Guwahati Sports Association organised Dilip Kumar Chanda and Minati Chanda Memorial Inter School Volleyball championship.
In the finals played at the GSA�s volleyball coaching centre at the Judges� Field here today, Jalukbari girls defeated Bengali Girls High School 25-17, 25-23 while the Amsing boys got the better of James National Public School 25-10, 25-6, 25-10.
Earlier in the second semifinal Bengali Girls High School beat Betkuchi High School 2-0.
In the closing function trophy donor K Chanda, principal of the South Point School along with GSA president Munin Nobis and other officials gave away the trophies.
