Jalota enthrals audience on Tribune Facebook concert

GUWAHATI, May 31 - Netizens on Sunday witnessed an evening full of soulful music when famous bhajan singer Anup Jalota performed at a live concert on the Facebook page of�The Assam Tribune.

The concert is a part of the music concert �Heal the World� organised by�The Assam Tribune. Jalota rendered some of his famous songs like�Aisi lagi lagan,�Mat kar tu abhimaan re bande, and many more.

He also enthralled the audience with�Aaj jane ki jid naa koro,�Tum itna jo muskura rahen ho�and few others. The concert witnessed 97 views within four minutes of starting.�

Jalota, starting the concert with the line Dil hum hum karen sung by Dr Bhupen Hazarika, said, �I felt very happy for Bhupen Hazarika when he got Bharat Ratna posthumously.��

�He (Dr Bhupen Hazarika) should have got Bharat Ratna much before because our country is best known for such persons,� he said, pointing at the chair in which Dr Hazarika used to seat and converse in that same room which formed the backdrop of the live concert.

One from the audience commented: �Thank you Assam Tribune for this beautiful evening! Music does have the power to heal and unite!� Another viewer stated, �One of the best Sunday evenings after a long time.�
