GUWAHATI, Nov 2 - A meeting of the Guwahati Central Jail Security Review Committee was held in the jail premises here today under the chairmanship of Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Dr M Angamuthu to review the security arrangements in the jail.
Issues like food arrangement and health facilities of jail inmates, infrastructure of the prison, availability of safe drinking water, cleanliness, power supply and other matters were also discussed.
The DC directed all jail officials to ensure security of the place round-the-clock and warned that any laxity in performance of official duties would not be tolerated.
Today�s meeting of the Security Review Committee comes two days after the jailbreak at Bhopal and encounter killing of eight SIMI members by the MP Police.
