Jagaddhatri Puja at Kshudrapalaha

BAIHATA CHARIALI, Nov 4 - The 78th edition of Kshudrapalaha Sri Sri Jagaddhatri Puja will be held on Kshudrapalaha ME School premises from November 6 with a five-day programme.

On the first day, the religious insigne will be hoisted at around 9 am by Harakanta Deka, president of the puja celebration committee, followed by smriti tarpan by Jit Ram Das.

At around 10.30 am, local MLA and Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and social worker Ramani Mohan Deka will inaugurate the newly-constructed permanent stage. Phanidhar Rajbongshi will inaugurate the main archway at around 4 pm.

At around 5.30 pm, noted businessman Narayan Deka will light the ceremonial lamp and at around 6 pm Adhibas and Ayoti Naam will be held. On November 7, Saptami Bihit Puja will begin from 8 am.

On November 8, Ostomi Bihit Puja will be held from 8 am, besides other regular programmes like Ojapali and Nagara Naam by women, etc.

Similarly, Navami Bihit Puja will be held on November 9, besides regular programmes like drawing contest, extempore speech competition and storytelling contest.

At around 5.30 pm, Bhabesh Kalita, MLA of Rangiya LAC will inaugurate the cultural stage, and at around 6 pm, modern dance and song competition will be organised. The Dasami Bihit Puja and Aparajita Puja will be held from 8 am on November 10.

At around 1 pm on Dasami Bihit Puja, a cordial meeting among the workers, permanent members, donors of the puja and local women organisations will be held. The other programmes of the puja include felicitation, cleanliness drive, ceremonial farewell of the idols, etc.
