ITANAGAR, May 22 � Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Krishna Chaudhary along with Inspector Generals ITBP RK Saini and RKD Singh called on Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki here last evening.
During the meeting, various issues pertaining to security, land acquisition and civic actions were discussed, an official release said.
Tuki requested the DG to conduct recruitment rallies in the State so that more youths of the State get opportunity to be recruited in the force. The DG said the force would initiate steps to ensure that maximum recruitment rallies were conducted in the State, the statement said.
�We are providing 40 per cent reservation for local youths,� Chaudhary said, seeking the support and help of Tuki in convincing the Union Home Ministry for replacing the quota for Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Caste of the State with Scheduled Tribe for Arunachal Pradesh in the backdrop of no OBCs or SCs in the State. � PTI
