GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - International referee and iron games promoter Bhabajyoti Goswami, who is also the general secretary of the Assam Weightlifting Association took out a journey to some of the districts including Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Dibrugarh, Tinisukia, Margherita, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Biswanath Chariali, Sonitpur and Darrang to motivate the youngsters and trainers associated with iron games.
Along with the other sporting activities, iron games too were badly hit due to COVID-19 pandemic as all the gyms and fitness centres were closed for several months. Goswami tried to meet the gym owners, trainees, trainers of various districts. He also visited the international and national-level prize winners during his journey. His 5-day journey started from August 17 and culminated yesterday.
