GUWAHATI, Jan 1 � Two 1985 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officers�Kula Saikia and AP Raut, have been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police today.
Saikia, who was serving as the IGP (Border) has been promoted as the ADG, Police Communication. He assumed his new charge today.
On the other hand, Raut, who was serving as the IGP, Logistic, has been promoted to the rank of ADG ( Law and Order), official sources said.
